The site is located on 1/2 acre in larkspur with a creek splitting the site in half. The house on one side, with a bridge over the creek leading to an existing swimming pool on the other side. Developing meaningful usable outdoor living spaces with the small spaces available, each with unusual constraints, is the challenge, while maintaining the natural woodland character of the site.

The house is located on 1/2 Acre on a steep hill in the center of a wooded drainage basin. The exterior spaces are very small, with steep slopes all around. The program centers around creating engaging and fun spaces for the kids to play in wherever possible, while integrating sophisticated entertaining and dining spaces for adults in the little flat space available.
